Anyu Studios LLC — Privacy Policy

Last Updated: September 2026

ANYU Studios, LLC operates the Pilates studio at 303 2nd Street in San Francisco and the website at www.anyustudios.com. This policy explains what we learn about you when you book a class, buy a package, or browse our site, and what we do with it. If anything here is unclear, email us at info@anyustudios.com and we'll explain.

Information you give us

Booking and account details. To reserve a class, join a waitlist, or set up an account, we ask for your name, email address, and phone number. Our booking platform, WALLA, stores this and uses it to confirm reservations, notify you of schedule changes, and track your class credits or membership status.

Payment details. Purchases of class packs, memberships, private sessions, workshops, and retail go through our payment processor. Your card number is handled directly by that processor. We see a record of the transaction and the last four digits of the card, not the full number.

Notes about your body. Our intake forms ask about injuries, surgeries, pregnancy, and physical limitations, and you may tell an instructor about these in person. We record it so your instructor can adapt exercises and equipment settings safely, and so we know who to call in an emergency. This information is never used for marketing, never sold, and is visible only to studio staff who need it to teach you. You can decline to share it, though it limits how well we can tailor a session.

Anything else you send. Messages through our contact form, replies to our emails, and reviews or testimonials you submit.

Information collected automatically

Visiting our website generates technical data: your IP address, browser and device type, the pages you open, how long you stay, and the site or search that sent you here. This comes from cookies, server logs, and small tracking files sometimes called pixels or web beacons.

We use this to keep the site working, spot fraudulent orders, understand which pages people actually read, and measure whether our ads are worth what we pay for them.

Our website does not respond to Do Not Track browser signals, because there is still no common standard for what a site should do when it receives one.

How we use what we collect

  • Running your bookings — confirmations, reminders, waitlist alerts, cancellations, and receipts.

  • Teaching you safely, using the health details described above.

  • Answering your questions and handling complaints or refunds.

  • Sending studio news, schedule updates, and promotions, if you've opted in. Every marketing email has an unsubscribe link.

  • Improving the site and the schedule based on what people book and when.

  • Showing ads for the studio on Google, Facebook, and Instagram to people who have visited our site or resemble our existing clients.

  • Meeting legal obligations, including tax records and responses to lawful requests from authorities.

Who else sees your information

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not rent or trade your email address or phone number to unrelated companies.

We do share it with vendors who run parts of the business for us. Each is contractually limited to using the data for the service they provide us:

  • WALLA — class scheduling, memberships, and client records

  • Payment processor — card authorization and refunds

  • Google Analytics — website traffic measurement (opt out at https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout)

  • Email marketing provider — newsletters and promotional messages

  • Advertising platforms — Google, Meta, and similar networks used to deliver our ads

We may also disclose information when the law requires it, in response to a subpoena or warrant, or where necessary to protect our staff, our clients, or our legal rights. If the studio is ever sold or merged, client records would transfer with the business.

Text messages

If you opt in to text messages, we'll use your number for booking confirmations, reminders, waitlist openings, and occasional studio announcements. Reply STOP to any message to end them, or ask the front desk to remove you. We share your number only with the vendor that delivers the messages on our behalf. It goes nowhere else.

Advertising choices

You can limit interest-based advertising through these settings:

Turning these off reduces personalization but does not stop ads altogether. You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings; parts of our site may work less well if you do.

Your rights in California

California law gives residents the right to ask us:

  • what categories of personal information we've collected about you, where it came from, and why we have it;

  • for a copy of the specific information we hold;

  • to correct anything inaccurate;

  • to delete your information, subject to records we're legally required to keep, such as transaction history; and

  • to limit how we use sensitive information, including health-related details.

Email info@anyustudios.com to make a request. We'll verify your identity before responding, usually by confirming details already in your account, and reply within the timeframe the law allows. Using these rights will never affect your pricing, class access, or how you're treated at the studio.

How long we keep things

Booking and purchase records stay with us while your account is active and afterward for as long as tax and accounting rules require. Health and safety notes are kept while you're an active client and deleted on request or after a long period of inactivity. Marketing contact details are removed when you unsubscribe. Website analytics data expires on the retention schedule set in our analytics tools.

Children

Our classes and website are intended for adults. We don't knowingly collect information from anyone under 16. Minors may train with us only when a parent or guardian has enrolled them and provided the necessary details.

Updates

We'll revise this policy when our practices, tools, or legal obligations change, and update the date at the top. Significant changes will be announced by email or a notice on the site.
